Dunwoody Celebrates Local Breweries

Bravo and Prost to an excellent Second Annual Tap Into Georgia Beer Festival held at Brook Run Park last Saturday, June 13! Moondog Growlers sponsored to the sold out event with proceeds benefitting Dunwoody Nature Center, a nonprofit organization dedicated to inspiring the love of nature and cultivating environmental understanding.

23 local Georgia brewers kept the beer flowing while Dunwoody natives, The Bad Neighbors, had attendees grooving in the park. Local fare was in no short supply with Farm Burger serving up its signature 100 percent grass-fed and locally sourced beef patties as well as a boiled peanut stand to pair with the craft beers.

“Events like this are what make Dunwoody so special. The festival really showcased the spirit of the community. No matter where I go, Dunwoody always feels like home,” beamed Dunwoody resident Robert Struble.

As the festival drew to a close, attendees trickled out, souvenir glass in hand, with wide smiles, full stomachs and a rich appreciation for local libations.

Dunwoody Nature Center plans to bring this festival back next year, so stay tuned to check out for details!
