Bicycling

Dunwoody is very much a bike-friendly community and encourages residents and visitors alike to enjoy the trails and lanes that wind through the city. Click for the Jim Benson bike trail, Dunwoody's first official bike route. Find and join local riders at Dunwoody Cycling. Join the conversation on the Bike Walk Dunwoody Facebook page about bicycling in Dunwoody and learn more about the monthly community bike rides, fun for riders of all ages and abilities. The group meets for a 4.5 mile community bike ride in the Dunwoody Village on the first Sunday of each month at 2:30 p.m.

Brook Run Park

Enjoy the sunny outdoors with fun for the whole family, including your furry family members. Children can play all day on the enormous first-class playground, while older kids and adults can glide across the awesome skate park arena. Let your dogs run free in the dog park, complete with jungle gym equipment. On your way out, stop by the Dunwoody Community Garden where local citizens grow organic, fresh produce and donate more than 20 percent of it to charity. 678-244-9800. 4770 N. Dunwoody Nature Center

A non-profit organization providing environmental education and outreach programs, visitors can enjoy the beautiful surroundings of the park or sign up for special classes and events.  The park is open daily from sunrise to sundown, free of charge.  770-394-3322. 5343 Roberts Drive, Dunwoody, GA 30338.
